Description
Opened in 2007, this museum in the heart of the cultural centre of Belém displays part of the exceptional modern and contemporary art collection of Madeiran billionaire J Berardo. A historical and thematic tour covers the major European and American art movements of the 20C and 21C, taking in Picasso, Dalí (Aphrodisiac Telephone), Max Ernst, Mondrian, Francis Bacon (Oedipus and the Sphinx), René Magritte, Henry Moore, Man Ray, Jason Pollock, Andy Warhol (Ten Foot Flowers)...
