Description

Consecrated in 1275 and completely restored by Viollet-le-Duc in the late 19C, this building boasts a polychrome interior that dates back to its original construction. Outside, the southern portal is decorated with a fine collection of 13C sculptures; Montfalcon porch, entirely rebuilt in the early 20C, adorns the centre of the main façade. The cathedral contains what may be one of the last "lookouts" in the world, whose job is to shout out the hours at night-time to all four corners of the city.
