The Green Guide

Useful information

Description

Carinthia's oldest Mining Museum is located on the site of the former Kreuzbergl air-raid shelters. Numerous rare and valuable exhibits chart local mining history. The finest and biggest local mineral samples are on display, including an enormous one-metre-high chunk of cairngorm weighing about 200 kg. The different geological eras are depicted by fossils. Very educational.
