Description

The Nordfriesland Museum illustrates the evolution of the region's different landscapes, as well as inhabitants' lives and culture. Subjects include dyke construction, land reclamation from the sea and the history of the region's major floods, including the storm of 1362, and are poignantly addressed. It also explores the overseas emigration of Schleswig-Holstein inhabitants and the town's history, and presents a collection of Frisian paintings.
