Description
Lake Geneva, shared with Switzerland, is a genuine inland sea, 310m deep, spread over 58,000ha. Its mild climate, cruises, beaches and spa resorts famous for their healing waters, like Thonon les Bains and Evian, whose water is sold all over the world, are reminiscent of the French Riviera. Every year in June several hundred yachts gather for the Bol d'Or Mirabaud, the world's greatest inland lake regatta.
