Apr-Oct: Tue-Sun 11am-5pm (Mon during school hols) - closed rest of year
Description
Located next to a small lake and surrounded by greenery, this open-air museum offers a pleasant introduction to history with its reconstructions of houses built using Iron Age methods. Volunteers act out scenes of everyday rural life, demonstrating crafts such as blacksmithery, weaving and bread-making. The museum is best visited at the weekend when there are lots of period demonstrations.
