Description
The focal point of downtown, Public Square contains some of the city's finest architecture. In the southwest corner sits the Tower City Center. Below the Terminal Tower, a shopping mall fills the railway station concourse. To the southeast is the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial, erected in 1894 as a monument to the servicemen who of the Civil War. Next door to the BP America building is the splendid Cleveland Arcade, which reflects the exuberant optimism of the city's heyday.
