Alfons Schuhbeck’s little empire on Platzl square was born here. After opening the gourmet restaurant Alfons around the corner, it was decided to focus here on cosmopolitan Bavarian cuisine served in the usual elegant ambience, with dishes such as cod on lukewarm asparagus-lentil salad on the menu. Schuhbeck also sells ice cream, chocolate and spices on the Platzl.
