This ambitious and sophisticated Persian restaurant may be tucked away in sleepy Elmsford, but it is very much alive and kicking. Decorated in a mid-century modern style, with shades of white and grey bouncing off gorgeous mirrored walls, it's beloved by both large groups and starry-eyed duos. Linen-covered tables set the stage for a substantial culinary parade. Lunch specials have been known to include such traditional stews as ghormeh sabzi, bademjoon, or fesenjian, accompanied by a side of basmati rice. All the spreads are made in house and should not be missed—imagine wonderfully thick yogurt mixed with cucumbers, shallots and mint or smooth and smoky eggplant with roasted garlic. Seal your meal over ice cream infused with saffron and rose water.
