Outshining its competition on this stretch of West Devon Avenue, make your way inside this vast and massively posh South Asian hot spot, where crystal chandeliers make tangerine-hued walls gleam with glory. Unsurprisingly, vegetarian and deep-fried dishes abound, but that’s only the beginning of the diverse, group-friendly menu. Nibble on crispy vegetable pakoras before moving on to the frontier chicken coupled with a buttery, baby blanket-sized naan. While most items skew Indian, it would be remiss to skip the namesake Pakistani signature—sabri nihari—starring slow-cooked and spicy stewed beef. Creamy lassi with homemade yogurt helps balance out the spice-fest.No alcohol is served in deference to many of the abstaining clientele, but you won’t miss it.
