Going strong since 1989, La Casa de Samuel continues to be a great spot for a satisfying breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The spacious, immaculate, and comfortable room features exposed brick, large windows, and oil paintings depicting the Mexican landscape. Tables and booths are filled with families enjoying platters of fragrant cooking, presented by their affable servers. A front section of the restaurant is dedicated to making outrageously good tortillas, warm and fresh to order. The kitchen's pride and skill is clear in the chicken enchiladas, bathed in an outstanding salsa roja, served alongside refried black beans and rice studded with cubed potatoes and peas. The cabrito here is intensely tasty, perfectly seasoned, and slow-roasted with care.
