Nestled behind a little specialty goods store offering excellent bread, coffee and to-go items, the popular Marlow & Sons sports a rustic hideaway vibe-replete with thick wood communal tables and flickering votives. The place is charming enough to warrant a visit even if the food wasn't ace, but as it happens, the rotating breakfast, lunch and dinner menus are divine. Kick things off with a smoky bowl of tomato soup sporting a delicate flutter of basil leaves; and then move on to the scrumptious brick chicken, a menu mainstay of moist chicken legs that get their crisp skin from being cooked under a brick. Paired with seasonal sides like a soft pile of corn, caramelized onions and slow-roasted cherry tomatoes, the result is homespun bliss.
