A good time guaranteed at Cokotte, opened by Guillaume and Séverine Veyssière where La Ruelle used to be. It's now all about "cuisine brute de goût", in the chef's words. Served in cast-iron casserole pots, the dishes are flavourful and hearty. The three adjoining dining rooms are decorated with bird-themed comic strip frescoes (a nod to Angoulême's International Comic Festival).
