It may come as a surprise to find this restaurant in Catalunya’s first Ecolabel-certified hotel, however it has enough quality and self-confidence to be the undisputed star of the show here, in a location in the middle of the Ebro delta and within a few metres of its famous rice paddies. The heart and soul of L’Algadir is owner-chef Joan Capilla, who favours “zero miles” products and cutting-edge techniques to create updated traditional cuisine, including an extensive selection of rice dishes, the restaurant’s main speciality. Fantastic value for money!
