Useful information

Everyone deserves a neighbourhood restaurant like the lucky residents of Kew and the fact that The Glasshouse been here for over 20 years is proof itself that they’re doing things right. One of its most appealing attributes is the delightful team; there’s no pomp or ceremony and everyone is treated with equal reverence, making it the kind of place you feel equally at home having a spur of the moment supper as a long-planned celebratory dinner.
The appealing wine list mixes the classic and the esoteric, via some lesser-known regions, and there are plenty of gems, with flexibility coming in the form of both half bottles and magnums. Menus are contrastingly concise and the satisfying, unfussy dishes show strong seasonality and a sense of Britishness. Portions are generous, flavours shine through, and techniques sit firmly in the classical camp. - MICHELIN guide inspectors
