The saying “appearances can be deceptive” is certainly the case here, as behind the modest, anodyne façade is a charming restaurant that opened in 1961 and is now run by the third generation of the same family. The layout includes an attractive bar, plus a long corridor with views of the kitchen leading to a dining room that is modern and contemporary in design. The traditional à la carte is high on quality, featuring delicious local dishes and fish and seafood that is of a standard that you wouldn’t necessarily expect in an inland town. Don’t leave without trying the snails!
