En route for the French Riviera, the movie stars of Paris, from Mistinguett to Jean Gabin and Fernandel, used to stop off here. Keen to maintain this heritage, the restaurant has kept the name of its founder, Germaine Vion (1922), as well as a devotion to fine craftsmanship. The dishes are flavoursome, aromatic and straightforward; to savour in an attractive interior adorned with huge murals depicting Belle Époque Paris or on the terrace, which commands an outstanding view.
