This lovely restaurant in the Meßmer vineyard exudes characteristic South Palatinate charm. If you like the local fare – best enjoyed, it goes without saying, on the terrace with its view of the surrounding vines – try the stuffed stomach of wild boar with cabbage in Riesling. If you prefer something more international, there’s roast meagre with pastasotto, tomatoes and olives. Excellent local wines.
