Run by the third generation of the same family, Cal Xirricló boasts plenty of charisma and history as it started life as a bodega (in a different location). Now, after more than 60 years taking orders, it has developed into the place to eat in Balaguer. The warm, rustic-contemporary decor features wood and open stonework, providing the backdrop for updated creative cuisine with its roots in traditional cooking, with a focus on textures, local flavours, and an interesting combination of ingredients. The à la carte is complemented by two set menus, with the option of sharing.
