The Michelin Guide's review
The largest and most prestigious Oxford college, known colloquially as "The House", was founded in 1525 and built around a large courtyard known as the "Tom Quad". Sights of interest not to be missed here include the Gothic and Baroque "Tom Tower", the main access gate to the college, crowned by an attractive dome; the Tudor hall; and the portrait gallery. At 9.05pm in the evening (a time that highlights the 5min time difference with the Greenwich meridien), listen to the 101 rings of the 7-ton Great Tom bell.
