The Michelin Guide's review
The villa, which often inspired Palladio, was built in the heart of the Colli Euganei between 1535 and 1542 by the bishopric of Padua for the exclusive use of its archbishop, who summered here. After touring the rooms that stored the curate's books and works of art, take a seat for a few minutes on the veranda and let your eyes feast on the scenery. The frescoes inside are by the Dutch artist Lambert Sustris.
