The Michelin Guide's review
Founded in 1919, Clères botanical park and zoo spreads over 13ha/32 acres. Rivers, lawns, copses and trees are home to 1 400 species of birds and mammals. Visitors bump into pink flamingos, ducks and exotic geese in the garden, then, in the park itself, antelopes, red pandas, gibbons, deer, cranes... who live in semi-freedom. More than 120 different species live and nest around the lake. The aviaries provide shelter to some rare and endangered birds.
