Occupying the Admiralty's arsenal and supported by 18 000 stilts, the National Maritime Museum presents an extensive overview of the maritime history of the Netherlands: scale models of boats, nautical instruments, paintings, maps, an atlas (Atlas Blaeu) etc. The Amsterdam, moored alongside other vessels, is the museum's pride and joy.
