The Michelin Guide's review
This museum occupies four synagogues from the 17C and 18C. It tells the story of Jews in the Netherlands from 1600 to the present day, providing information on community life, business activities, important characters such as the philosopher Spinoza (1632-1677), and the drama of the Second World War. A museum for children presenting the Jewish religion through the re-creation of the interior of a family home, can be visited in the second synagogue.
