Citroën tests the waters with Ami Buggy concept in very limited production run

Citroën has launched a buggy version of its small city car, the Ami, which certainly won't go unnoticed when you hit the beach this summer. Produced in a limited run of just 50 units, the Ami Buggy will go on sale Tuesday, June 21 in France.

Two years after its release, the Ami is heading for the beach in the form of a limited-edition model directly derived from the My Ami Buggy concept, presented last December. Only 50 numbered and configurable units will go on sale on the Citroën France website from €9,790. The first deliveries are scheduled from August 8.

My Ami Buggy has a khaki finish, as well as reinforced bumpers. Above all, the doors and roof are replaced by metal tubes and a removable canvas, bringing the driver closer to nature. Note that the front plate is customizable, with the option of adding the message of your choice. Whether it’s a trip to the beach or a ride in the country, the Ami Buggy is the ideal companion, even for teenagers, since in France the vehicle is accessible to everyone, with or without a driver’s license, from the age of 14.

The Ami stands apart from everything else on the market today. It does not surpass 45 km/h and has a range of about 75 km. It can also be recharged via any electrical socket. In its classic, “city” version, the Ami is available from €7,300 (in France), or for lease at €19.99 per month, after an initial payment of €3,941.
