A health and safety nightmare from the uneven flags outside the door to the numerous stone steps inside. However this shouldn't put you off from visiting. The food is well prepared and presented, and the Chef does have some considerable skill in executing what are fairly basic dishes but using well sourced local produce, which must be applauded.
It's expensive for what you get. Bare tables, stainless steel legs, hard cold surfaces everywhere and a series of rooms that are neither rustic charm, nor funky modern. At these prices (over £25 for some main courses) I expect better and some vegetables thrown in, rather than all as "extras" at £2.50 a pop. What they fail to make on the food they make up for on vastly overpriced wines. House champagne at almost £50 a bottle (£18-20 in shops) and a Prosecco with a markup in excess of 300%. We left well fed but, in these straightened times, also slightly cheated.
