- Local's Corner is exactly that—a neighborhood café set upon a corner and geared toward local foodies. This vintage-esque respite contains only a handful of tables and counter seats. Service is laid-back, but it's so much fun to watch the animated (read: skilled) team in the open kitchen. The menu of light, well-crafted Californian fare spins to the season, so check out the framed mirror listing daily oysters and cheeses. Then embark on dishes that might feature a refreshing chicken salad mingled with yogurt, toasted almonds, raisins, and fresh cilantro; or beef tartare crowned with a quail egg and pickled cauliflower. That smoked salmon salad sandwich with a side of peppery arugula is just begging to be paired with a homemade Meyer lemonade.
