- The Windy City loves its steakhouses, and nowhere is it more apparent than at this independent restaurant that has been thriving for more than two decades amid the popular chains near O'Hare. Inside the serene space, coffee-colored leather chairs and wood paneling create a classic Rat Pack vibe. Succulent USDA Prime steaks get top billing here, such as the 16 oz. Kansas City strip, cooked perfectly to order. Spend the extra dollars on a peppercorn, Cajun, blue cheese, or horseradish crust on any steak for an added indulgence. French onion soup, smoked salmon on flatbread, shrimp cocktail, mashed potatoes, and baked apples round out the menu.
