- Looks-wise, it's nothing special, despite the lovely setting - it's simply all about the food at the 'Shoes. They make their own breads, ice creams, chutneys and pickles; try the wild boar Scotch egg or veal and bone marrow burger. Spacious, simply furnished bedrooms; two with views across the valley.

The interior is nothing special but it is all about the food - absolutely fantastic. The chef has great skills and serves very good food with all ingredients complimenting each other. I could seriously find not fault and would recommend other diners to give this place a visit. Serious quality and very well executed.
