This 1940's-inspired steakhouse has a cozy vibe, despite the location looking out at the mall parking lot, and the crowds who pack these tables. The music playing in the background and the low lighting contribute to the attractive ambience. A shopping mall chain restaurant might not have been high on the "must eat" list, but like the Lettuce Entertain You folks are inclined to do, Wildfire exceeds expectations. The menu bulges with sandwiches, salads, and pizzas at lunch. At dinner, steaks and seafood platters are added. Each entrée, like the filet mignon, is cooked tender and to order. High-quality, lean meats add to the pleasurable experience. The classic steakhouse creamed spinach is heavy on the cream and seasoned with butter and nutmeg.
