- Remarks
- With its rich red leather seats, warming fireplace, and black-and-white photo-filled walls, The Lambs Club is reminiscent of its roots as a flourishing theater club. The dining room is dark, moody, and masculine; in contrast, the staff is friendly and all-around professional—it's easy to feel special here even when the volume is pumping. This iconic building was envisioned by Stanford White, and renowned Chef/restauranteur Geoffrey Zakarian's American cuisine does the setting justice. Talent and care are palpable at this sequestered spot, in such dishes as grilled quail set over farro and tart-sweet cranberry gastrique; Heritage pork chop in a delicious sherry jus with crispy pork hash; and a lush lemon baba with limoncello and raspberries.

Had dinner at the Lambs Club for my birthday with some girlfriends after reading about it in Departures last year. Everything was great, we started with a drink at the lobby bar and then moved inside for dinner. The maitre d' was very charming and we had dinner in my favorite style - order one of everything & share. Not ACTUALLY one of everything, but I did get to taste probably a dozen items and everything was delicious. The cocktails were also flowing and we had an amazing evening.
Our reservation was later in the evening due to the restaurant being very busy.
