- Remarks
- Nestled among midtown's high-rises, this jewel of a sushi restaurant is a nice respite from the Bryant Park hustle and bustle—with soothing swaths of natural light flooding a small dining room with high ceilings, and a sidewalk seating section protected by fabric panels and potted green plants. Chef Toshio Suzuki's team doles out a host of rolls, many of them going beyond the conventional preparations to employ seasonal fish and vegetables. Kick things off with a smoky white miso soup bobbing with Asari clams; and then move on to the Bara Chirashi Sushi, or sushi Zen style. "Bara" means little things, and here that translates to a neverending style of fish, sashimi, and vegetables served over rice. Save room for the yokan, a sweet, jellied dessert.
