Across from the Metra, find this petite, inviting Indian storefront. Per Hinduism, Kama (or desire) is one of four goals in life, and as a nod to tradition, this bistro entices via aubergine walls hugging a portrait of the amorous Kamadeva (God of Love) himself. Purple is a running theme throughout the slender space; while fresh lavender roses and beaded tea candles add an elegant touch to the tables. Jeweled throw pillows lay across banquettes and hypnotic sitar music wafts through the room. But seducing one's appetite is the chef's playful intent with unlikely ingredients like shrimp koliwara bathed in onion, chili, ginger; and achari masala, chicken massaged with an exotic blend of 18 spices. The PB & J naan leaves tiny tots with big smiles.
