Very pleasant shaded terrace with a good view up towards Fayence. This restaurant is run by an accomplished husband and wife, Yves and Isabelle Merville. The cooking is excellent, creative and accurate. The three fixed price menus (E29, 40 and 53) change regularly and all offer excellent ingredients put together with flair. We had, as a starter, spring rolls of lobster, basil and julienne of vegetables (croustillant de homard au basilic et julienne de legumes, sauce nems) which was unusual and delicious. The main course we chose was carre de porcelet roti, artichauts violets et pommes de terre grenaille, jus corse au romarin; not too complicated but very tender and flavoursome, well balanced composition and beautifully cooked. Our desert of sable craquant aux framboises, creme legere pistache et granite a l'eau de vie was a refreshing and well conceived conclusion to the meal. The amuse bouches and petits fours were fully up to the standard of the rest of the meal. Isabelle runs the service with a high level of professionalism and the staff are pleasant and efficient. The wine list is not long but good on Provençal vineyards and is well priced. Overall value is good, particularly with the E29 menu. This is a really good local restaurant and has established a very good and deserved reputation.
