The previous reviewer must have attended a different establishment. Living in the local area, I have dined at all the best places, including the recommended ones in this guide. The Museum inn is by far the best. The food is very well cooked; its Sunday roasts are divine. The service is attentive; the waitresses pleasant. And, the ambience is lovely too: that of a warm, comfortable traditional pub.
This inn used to be frequented by the pretentious London set; however, pleasingly, this clientele have moved to the King John; consequently, the Museum is more comfortable and less stuffy than it used to be.
