- Pleasant red-brick pub with a traditional feel, run by a husband and wife team, where everyone comes for the great atmosphere and the terrific food. Everything from bread to ice cream is homemade; the cooking is clever and dishes full of flavour. But hurry, only 25 diners can be accommodated.

- Middle White pig's cheek with black pudding and Bramley apple sauce. Best end of lamb with lamb shoulder pie, savoy cabbage and mashed potato. Baked vanilla cheesecake with caramel ice cream.

Excellent service from friendly staff. Food excellent quality and standard, this is our second visit in the last 12 months, as we live some distance away but we will certainly be revisiting again soon.
Bar is very small and can become crowded.
