Nach längerer Zeit haben wir das Aquarello wieder besucht und waren sehr positiv überrascht. Hervorragendes Essen mit teilweise französischer Ausrichtung was für ein italienisches Restaurant erst einmal seltsam klingen mag, aber zu erstaunlich stimmigen und eigenständigen Kreationen führt. Das Ambiente ist modern und der Service ausserordentlich freundlich.
Die Tischabstände könnten etwas größer dimensioniert sein.

It has nothing to do with Italian food, but it is sometimes delicious! We won't come back (see below) but we enjoyed most of the food. Starters: Ravioli with calf's head and lobster in a basilicum foam (really delicious), Salad Ravioli (interesting but tasteless), Boiled endive with ham and summer truffle (tasteless). Main dishes: Lamb fillet with an oignon filled with paprika brunoise and a fried eggplant ball, Pigeon fillet in herbs soufflé with black nuts sauce, Bocconcini of beef filled with foie gras with peas risotto. All main dishes were really really good, well cooked and well balanced! Desert-cheese: Cheese plate (a shame, see below), Parmigiano crème brûlée (delicious), cappuccino soufflé (disappointingly tasteless). The place itself is nice, even if a little kitsch. The music is useless, it is quite noisy. The terrasse must be really great in summer (it was a rainy evening for us).
Despite of the very good food, we spent a bad evening, which really desappointed us for a 1* restaurant. We won't come back. 1) Maybe we had bad luck... But our waiter was impatient (we had to translate the menue because they only have it in german), almost rude and haughty. He really spoilt the atmosphere! Moreover we had to wait more than one hour between each service: starter, main dish, desert, it lasted 3,5 hours!! With nothing in between! 2) Food quantities are really, really small... In almost all german restaurants we are not able to finish our plates (we eat quite few) but in this case, we were still hungry as we left the restaurant... Unbelievable after 110€ spent for each guest!! 3) The cheese plate was a pure joke: 19€ for 4 small pieces of industrial cheese. Industrial, indeed. You can't imagine more tasteless. It was cheese to cook with, in the best case. Don't tell it is impossible to find good italian cheese when you offer it on a 1* restaurant menue. 4) The capuccino soufflé was tasteless. The red wine was not good. The endive starter was a shame. 5) Much too expensive: 110€ for 1 starter, 1 dish, 1 desert, 1 drink, 1/2 bottle of wine, and still hungry after that.
