Trek to the ends of the earth (known to some as Eleventh Avenue), and the barbecue gods will reward you. Welcome to Daisy May's BBQ—where Chef/owner (and cookbook author) Adam Perry Lang's smoky, succulent 'cue served up in a big old dining hall (think school lunchroom-meets-barn) counts everyone from Oprah to bike messengers to midtown suits as fans. Three chalkboards list the pig specials: a whole pig for up to 12 people (should you be blessed with so many friends); half a pig; and a few daily specials. The house pulled pork, a mound of tender, glistening sweet and smoky pork, is a fan favorite for good reason. A limited selection of beer and wine is available to wash it all down, but our money's on the irresistibly sweet and minty iced tea.
