One of Sausalito's newest additions is this breezy Bridgeway bar and kitchen owned by cookbook author Joanne Weir. The congenially attended room is a lovely spot to while away an afternoon amid sienna-glazed walls and vivid tile accents. A wall of tequila bottles behind the bar and a prominently positioned wood-burning rotisserie arouse the desire to drink, eat, and relax. Headed by two Mexican-born chefs, the kitchen produces south-of-the-border fare dressed with a distinctly Californian sensibility. Munch on crisp jicama batons sprinkled with chile, lime, and salt before delving into a bowlful of tart halibut ceviche studded with ripe mango, or house-made tortillas stuffed with plump shrimp, strips of roasted poblano, and early corn.
