Chakrabongse Villas

"Set on the bank of the Chao Phraya River in the heart of Old Bangkok, Chakrabongse Villas consists of four private apartments set in the luxuriant gardens of Chakrabongse House. Within this tranquil location, visitors can escape from the hustle and bustle of modern-day Bangkok, while at the same time being within walking distance of Bangkok's premier tourist attractions such as the Grand Palace, the Temple of the Dawn, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, the Museum of Siam and the National Museum. Built in 1908 by HRH Prince Chakrabongse, Chakrabongse House was originally used when he attended royal ceremonies in the Grand Palace, and for picnics and excursions on the river. Later, after the 1932 revolution, it became the residence of HRH Prince Chula Chakrabongse, historian and writer. Today it is lovingly maintained by his daughter, Narisa. The villas have been recently built to provide four luxury apartments situated in the garden, with verandas overlooking the Chao Phraya River."
