Tasty, well-prepared food as referenced in earlier comments
restaurant offers a four course menu "surprise". Upon further consideration, I feel that this concept is not really appropriate to a restaurant of this quality. Standard practice in the industry is to offer set price menus from which the customer selects from several choices in each course category. When dining in a high quality restaurant and paying the amount of money involved, one should be able to select what he wants and not be subject to the "luck of the draw". Surprise menus of the chef's choosing make one think that the food may be selected based on what the kitchen wants to dispose of.

The food was utterly amazing, as was the service. The head waiter deserves particular praise for his attentiveness.
The tasting menu we had was 7 courses (plus an amuse bouche) and was €180 per person. 2 glasses of champagne and a 2007 Pouilly Fume, plus tip came to nearly €600. A once every few years type event, we didn't mind too much but felt it was a little on the high side, though not too dissimilar in price to other 2 star venues.
