servizio attento, la cucina ha offerto un piccolo assaggio a due commensali, servito contemporaneamente agli antipasti ordinati dagli altri due.
Razioni estremamente ridotte, come la peggior "novelle cuisine". Supplemento musica, che a me era parso un normalissimo sottofondo da CD. Controllate bene il conto, soprattutto le bevande: io incautamente non l'ho fatto e ho pagato 12 Euro non dovuti. Le sere seguenti abbiamo cenato altrettanto bene spendendo la metà, ovviamente in altri ristoranti!

Starter was excellent
19 Sept 2009 Dinner in this self declared most expensive restaurant in Vienna was a mixed experience. An excellent starter was followed by a mediocre main course, good but nothing exceptional. It only went downhill from there when the bill included a cover charge and a charge per person for the live piano music. One could be excused to assume that these charges were included in the hefty price for the meal, wine and above all mineral water (Euro 7 per bottle), as we did. Our total bill for an aperitif, a starter and main, two bottles of wine (least expensive on the extensive wine list of Euro 35 and 40 respectively) and two bottles of mineral water came with four people to Euro 310. When expressing our surprise with regards to the cover charge and live music charge (in total Euro 24 for the four of us) we were advised to direct our comments to the Austrian government and return to London quickly as they were not willing to listen to and engage with us, their customer. In fact, we were treated as dirt and not worthy to be a guest at the restaurant. We felt sorry for the serving staff who were visibly embarrassed by both the charges and the rude behaviour of their management. We cannot recommend this restaurant, not only for the quality of the food – price relationship but also and above all for the management who reduced a nice night out to a bad experience in ‘Vienna’s most expensive restaurant’. Go to Restaurant Palmenhaus in Burggarten (1010 Vienna) instead where the evening before we enjoyed an excellent meal in a fabulous environment which was matched by the service, at about 2/3rd of the price.Erik Jan Scholten, London.
