Remarks
When an underground car park was being built, the excavations revealed the base of a wall built in en 1530 by Gustav Hasa, as well as older remains. So the Museum of medieval Stockholm was installed on the site. It traces the history of the city back to its medieval origins. Opposite the museum entrance, a statue of Carl Milles, The Sun Minstrel (1926) goes back to a famous poem by Tegner (1782-1846), the bard of Swedish patriotism who drew inspiration from the ancient sagas.
