This Venetian Byzantine style "fondaco", a true latticework made of archways, that served as a warehouse for the Turkish merchants, and that today is the Natural History Museum. Sure, you probably didn't come to Venice to discover protozoan life forms, insects, molluscs and dinosaurs... But, if this were the case, or if you were suddenly to become curious about echinoderms during a romantic gondola ride, you should know that this museum is quite remarkable!
