Prince Camille Borghese was a mean man indeed: because his wife, Pauline Bonaparte went gallivanting with enthusiasm, he banned her from his palaces. But he waited for the fall of Napoleon's Empire to do so. The poor girl had to come to terms with living in this villa, which presently houses the French Embassy for the Holy See.
