Remarks
The Palace of Westminster , apparently medieval, was in fact built in the middle of the 19C following a fire. Only Westminster Hall dates back to 1097, its superb frame in the form of an up-turned ship's hull was built in 1394. It is a meeting place for the Members of Parliament and Lords who sit respectively in the House of Commons and in the House of Lords. When Parliament is sitting a British flag is hung from the Victoria Tower.
