Remarks
The curious name given to this block of houses alludes to the mythological judgement of Pâris who was accused of giving away the golden apple to the most beautiful goddess and «manzana» is a play on words meaning both apple and block of buildings. The buildings also provide for interesting comparison (passionate also) between the three leading Modernist architects, Gaudí, Puig i Cadafalch and Domènech i Montaner who respectively designed the Casa Batlló, the Casa Amatller and the Casa Lleó i Morera. Next to the three emblematic buildings you will find other no less significant buildings such as the Casa Ramón Mulleras (1911), by Enric Sagnier, and the Casa Bonet by Jaume Brossà.
