New Seat Ibiza

Seat has chosen the Geneva Motor Show to present its new Ibiza, which now boasts the distinctive features of the marque's new design, following the example of the Altea, Toledo and Leon.

It was in March 2002 that the last generation Ibiza was launched. One year ago, at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2005, Seat presented the Leon Prototipoconcept car whose principal attributes, bearing the stamp of sportiness, were to transform the rest of the range. Victim of the schedule, only the Ibiza missed out on the facelift that we discover today.

Unsurprisingly, the new Ibiza therefore comes with the famous honeycomb grille, the front and rear bumpers of the new Leon, very attractive twin headlights, the latest fashion in wheels and hubcaps, the Ibiza badge positioned centrally on the tailgate, and new exhaust pipes (for engines above 100 hp). Inside, only the steering wheel, upholstery and gear lever have been altered whilst the trim levels have been upgraded, and there is a new choice of materials.

Available with three or five doors, the Ibiza will offer a choice of ten engines! Five diesel units of 70, 80, 100, 130 and 160 hp, and five petrol units of 64, 75, 100, 150 and 180 hp, all in six different trims, constituting a range of 21 possible trim/engine combinations.
In short, if you want to buy an Ibiza, make sure you specify which one.
