Musée du Terroir marseillais
5 pl. des Héros, Château-Gombert F - 13013 Marseille
This museum set in a large square shaded by plane trees recounts the Provence way of life in the 18C and 19C. The kitchen, with its fireplace hood and pile (sink), is equipped with earthenware, pewter, terracotta terralhas and tians and mortars for crushing garlic to make aïoli. The living room is furnished with regional furniture, including a radassier, a long sofa, and, an added bonus, a key element of the Marseille civilisation, there is a reconstitution of a renowned capanno (hut).
